WHAT THIS IS

The MAS Residency program is a 20-week tasting of our MAS special sauce — who we are, what we do, and how we do it. It's a deep dive into the experiential marketing industry, where fresh minds can immerse themselves in our world (and our clients’). During this time, residents will have the opportunity to hone and grow their skills, while also uncovering new interests and opportunities along the way. Ultimately this is a unique chance to collaborate closely with leading experts in the field, forge invaluable professional connections, actively contribute to the agency’s perspective, and depart with substantial portfolio work.

Recent grads, grad students, or anyone in the event marketing industry can apply - we're looking for standout candidates ready to go above and beyond what is asked for. We’re looking for someone with sick graphic design skills, a deep love and knowledge for all things social media, and an interest in data and metrics. This person will mainly support the Marketing department and its various endeavors, but also work on client projects that include social asks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Marketing Manager in the overall management of our social media channels, including tracking deliverables, sourcing, and developing new content.
  • Contribute to social campaign brainstorms and wider team brainstorms — coming up with ideas and presenting them to the group.
  • Track and monitor growth through social analytic platforms like Hootsuite, Tagger, and Google Analytics.
  • Source potential MAS speaking opportunities from panels to podcasts and assisting in the execution and distribution of media.
  • Design graphics for our social channels as well as our digital publication, MOREMore, that evoke the MAS brand and resonate with our target audience.
  • Incorporate brand guidelines from a wide array of clients to create social graphics aligned with their individual brand story.
  • Utilize Adobe Suite programs to create custom content for MAS media platforms and projects.
  • Master the art of case studies by designing for the MAS website, diving headfirst into the world of keywords and search engine optimization.
  • Learn more about the events that had made MAS, MAS - by updating our database of event debrief worksheets.
  • Work diligently to put out content on a weekly basis, aligning with current trends and industry shifts.
  • Measure key performance indicators through analytic platforms, ensuring we are hitting our MAS social roadmap goals for the quarter and year.
  • Research analytics and informative statistics to drive marketing decisions.
  • Participate in a special capstone project with fellow residents that will result in a one-of-a-kind portfolio piece.
  • Research and analyze cultural trends, synthesizing key insights, and delivering clear presentations to wider teams.
  • Support and assist in the creation of assets and resources for the Marketing team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of academic or professional graphic design and/or social media work + a portfolio that showcases your past work (ex. A social media campaign with quantifiable results.)
  • Degree in graphic design or related field
  • Experience with G-Suite
  • Mastery in Photoshop or InDesign
  • Bonus points if you have any animation or video production experience with AfterEffects or Premiere Pro
  • Second nature in navigating social analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout, Tagger, etc.
  • Enthusiasm for experiential marketing and communication disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of relevant social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and other emerging channels
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, natural leader, and go-getter. You love a swoon-worthy aesthetic, have an affinity for fast-paced project management, are constantly scrolling, and are ready to #MakeMASFamous with us!
